Is there life after the tax credit?
Posted on May 4th, 2010 No comments
It’s spring here in the Old Pueblo, although temperatures are bound to creep up to the mid-90’s be early next week. In other words, it’s starting to feel more like summer here in Tucson. Tucson always has a big influx of buyers relocating from all over the nation. Many buyers prefer to buy in the summer when the kids are out of school, and there isn’t as much competition among buyers. Saving $8,000 on a house is significant. Obviously, the federal tax credit spurred home buying activity in our market and the national market in a big way- to the tune of about 10% increase in home sales activity.

What to do with visiting relatives in Tucson during the holiday season
Posted on November 28th, 2009 No comments
Luckily, Tucson is abundant with things to do and places to visit. Many of which are not apparent to people who live here, as they do not do ‘touristy’ things on a regular basis. I’ve taken a few day trips recently myself, and have greatly enjoyed it! A few weeks ago, I went to the De Grazia Gallery in the Sun. I’ll be happy to show you the local real estate offerings, as that is my specialty. Happy trails & happy holidays to you & your family!

More Tucson summer sunsets
Posted on August 6th, 2009 No comments
Tucson real estate is really looking up for buyers. The market is on an upswing, and inventory levels are down to about six months in many parts of town, making this a more balanced market. There is only about three and a half months left for first time home buyers to take advantage of the $8,000 tax credit. If you have questions about the tax credit, and want to know if you are eligible, please feel free to call me.

Is this Tucson in June?
Posted on June 5th, 2009 No comments
A woman at the swim meet told me that she heard that this was an El Nino year. If that’s true, then we should expect a wetter than normal rainfall. Perhaps that explains the rain we had in late May? Whatever it is, we are thankful for it here in the normally arid Tucson desert. By the way, the kids had a great time at the swim meet. That’s one of the things I love about Skyline Bel Air is the swim team, as it keeps the kids busy doing something constructive in the summer.

Bank Owned- when they can’t sell ‘em, they just destroy ‘em!
Posted on May 11th, 2009 No comments
Shocking, but true. Let’s hope we don’t start to see the bulldozers circulate in Tucson anytime soon. Demolishing perfectly good housing structures seems like an outright shame. Unfortunately- that’s what this market has come to. Hopefully this is a signal that we have hit the bottom of the market!
